We need a knowledge-intensive culture in which the consumption process enables the rapid and efficient transformation of the latest scientific info into innovative products and services through close collaboration between designers of the culture and its active consumers.

As is well known, every technological revolution is always preceded by a social one. The springboard from an information society to a knowledge-based society lies in the development of a knowledge-intensive culture.
